On September 23, 2025, at the 17th European Conference on Applied Superconductivity (EUCAS) held in Porto, Portugal, Associate Researcher Dr. Kong Lingdong from the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, received the second CONECTUS Early Career Award. This award recognizes his work on superconducting two-photon spatial coincidence detectors. Dr. Kong is also the first Chinese recipient of this award.

EUCAS is one of the world's largest conferences on superconductivity, held every two years with nearly a thousand participants each time. The CONECTUS Award ceremony is held at each EUCAS conference, aiming to recognize young talents in the field of applied superconductivity. Eligible candidates must have 3-10 years of work experience, and their work must be clearly related to potential industrial applications of superconductivity. Three winners are selected globally for each award cycle. The first CONECTUS Award was presented at the 16th EUCAS conference in 2023.
