The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) held a news conference for the result of the academicians’ electionin the afternoon of December 14th. Vice-Chairman of the National People's Congress Committee, academician of Chinese academy of sciences, executive president of the Presidium of CAS LU Yongxiang announced 35 prominent scientists have been elected academicians together with six foreign scientists elected CAS academicians. Vice president LI Jinghai announced the list of the new academicians.
