2023 China-Austria Nanotechnology Exchange Conference is held in Shanghai

On November 21, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIMIT,CAS)and the Technology Office of the Austrian Embassy Beijing jointly held the 2023 China-Austria Nanotechnology Exchange Conference. The conference brings together experts and scholars from relevant Austrian research institutions to discuss the latest developments in the field of materials and MEMS.
Xie Xiaoming, Director of SIMIT,CAS, welcomed the delegation's visit on behalf of the Institute and hoped that both sides could deepen understanding and promote cooperation. Liu Ning, Deputy Director, Division of European Affairs, Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Alexander POGANY of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility and Innovation Technology, and Max PFEILER, Counselor of the Austrian Embassy Beijing, delivered speeches, expressing the good will of the two sides to cooperate in the field of materials in the future. Yu Wenjie, deputy director of SIMIT,CAS, introduced the basic overview, research progress, graduate education and international cooperation of the institute.
At the exchange meeting, experts from SIMIT,CAS and domestic research institutes in related fields had in-depth exchanges with the Austrian delegation, and reached a consensus on the direction of cooperation between the two sides. Later, further communication will be made on the direction of cooperation in this discussion.
This matchmaking meeting provides a good opportunity for cooperation between Chinese and Austrian research institutes, and the cooperation projects between China and Austria will further strengthen the substantial long-term cooperation between Chinese and Austrian research institutes in the field of scientific and technological development.
