Ms. Wang Weiyi was born in September 1974, in Shanghai. She started working in August 1996. She graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a master's degree in economics.

From August 1996 to June 2001, she worked as an accountant and assistant accountant of Shanghai Postal Savings and Exchange Bureau.

From June 2001 to February 2008, she worked as an accountant in the General Office of Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, senior director of the Financial Audit Department, and secretary of the Fifth Party Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences

From March 2008 to February 2021, she successively served as Deputy Director of Audit Department, senior accountant, and Deputy Director of the second Women's Committee of Shanghai Branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences;

From March 2021 to June 2024, she served as Director of the Financial Audit Department and Director of the Financial Audit Department of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since July 2024, she has been the secretary of the Discipline Committee of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
