Prof. Yu Wenjie, a semiconductor scientist, was born in Shanghai. Since October 2022,he was appointed as the Deputy Director of Shanghai Microsystem Institute. (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
From 2001 to 2005, he majored in Materials Physics at Fudan University and obtained his bachelor's degree.
From 2005 to 2011, he studied at Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and obtained his doctorate degree.
During 2009 to 2011, he was funded by China Scholarship Council and studied at the Jurich Research Center in Germany as a joint doctoral student.
Since June 2011, he has been an assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher of Shanghai Microsystems Institute.
Since November 2019, he has been the assistant to the director of Shanghai Microsystem Institute and the Director of Strategic Research Office.
Since June 2020, he has been the chairman and general manager of Shanghai Integrated Circuit Materials Research Institute Co., LTD. Since July 2020, he has been member of the Committee and Director of the Strategic Research Office of Shanghai Microsystems Institute.
Since December 2020, he has been member of the Board of Directors, Director of Strategic Research Office, and acting director of Silicon-based Materials and Integrated Devices Laboratory of Shanghai Microsystems Institute.
Since November 2021, he has been a member of the Shanghai Microsystem Institute, director of the Silicon-based Materials and Integrated Devices Laboratory, and secretary of the General Party Branch.
