Prof. ZHAO Jianlong, born in Jiangsu Province 1969, is the deputy director of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
He graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University with a Bachelor Degree. From July 1992 to July 1997, he studied the successive postgraduate and doctoral program in SIMIT, majoring in semiconductor physics and devices.
Prof. ZHAO has started his research in SIMIT since 1997, working as the director of Technology Quality Division, assistant to the director, and executive vice chairman and legal representative of Shanghai Wireless Communication Research Center successively.
His research interest covers biochip and biosensor, He has published more than 120 papers as well as applied for over 60 patents. He is in charge of many important national scientific projects, and has successfully developed gene diagnosis chip and analyzer for several critical infectious diseases.
