Prof. DI Zengfeng, a leading scientist in materials science, is the Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
He studied at Department for Intensive Instruction (DII), Nanjing University from 1997 to 2001 and received his bachelor's degree. From 2001 to 2006, he studied in the major of microelectronics and solid state electronics at SIMIT, CAS. In 2006, he received his Ph.D. degrees.
From 2006 to 2010, he worked as a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in US. In 2010, he was appointed as a professor by SIMIT, CAS. From 2016, he acted as the vice director of laboratory of functional materials for informatics, director of science and technology department of SIMIT, assistant to the director of SIMIT, vice director of SIMIT , and Secretary of the Party Committee of SIMIT successively.
Prof. DI’s research interest covers advanced silicon-on-insulator (SOI) materials, two dimensional materials, microelectronic and optoelectronic devices. He has published over 180 papers and obtained more than 100 authorized patents. In addition, he has achieved several awards and prizes for his academic research including China Youth Science and Technology Award, National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars,National Excellent 100 Doctoral Dissertation Program,etc.
