Tao Hu was born in April 1982 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. He started to work in May 2014. He is a doctor of engineering and a researcher.
From 1998 to 2003, he studied at the University of Science and Technology of China and received his bachelor's degree.
From 2003 to 2006, he studied at the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and obtained a master's degree.
From 2006 to 2010, he studied at Boston University in the United States. 2010-2012 Postdoctoral research at Tufts University, USA;
2012-2014 Research Assistant Professor at Tufts University, USA.
2014 As an overseas high-level talent introduction by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, he was hired as a researcher by Shanghai Microsystem Institute. He has been the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Sensing Technology since April 2017, the Assistant Director of the Director of Shanghai Microsystems Institute since November 2019, the director of the 2020 Frontier Laboratory since March 2020, the member of the Board of Directors of Shanghai Microsystems Institute since July 2020, and the Deputy Director of Shanghai Microsystems Institute since February 2021.
