RESUME

Dr Tiegang Xu received his Ph.D. in Microbiology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and his B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular biology in Nankai University. He researched in DNA phosphorothioation for his Ph.D study, and found an unusual phosphorothioation-dependent restriction modification system from Salmonela. Then he worked in Shanghai institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, CAS, and researched in biosensors based on microcantilever and microfluidic system for pathogens detection, disease diagnosis and cell analysis. He hosted a project of National Natural Science of China and hosts a project of Shanghai Natural Science Foundation.
