Radio frequency and microwave integration system
2009-06-29 | A A A  【print】【close

Microwave & millimetre-wave MMIC chip technology as well as the collection radar system for its traffic information is a cross-over area of micro-electronic technology, electromagnetic field and radar technology, displaying the comprehensive ability of science and technology. SIMIT studied the key technology on the integration and application of MMIC chip and the micro radar system, and successfully developed the microwave & millimetre radar MMIC chip. Meanwhile, SIMIT also designed and produced dozens of chip circuits for broadband communication and integrated radar with the advanced technique of 0.15/0.25μm. Some of the chips have already been applied and promoted in the system.

Utilizing the MMIC technology, SIMIT is the first one in China that has developed the traffic volume detecting radar system of independent intellectual property right, which was used for real-time monitoring the surrounding traffic around Olympic venues during Beijing Olympic 2008, realizing the real-time remote transmission of on-site data, with the test on typical automobile emissions such as SO2, NO2, O3, and providing scientific proofs for the automobile emissions to the atmospheric environment. The project was awarded “Outstanding Technology Olympic Organisation” by the Ministry of Technology.
