RESUME

Dr. Prof. Dawei Shen was born in 1980, Jiangsu Province. He received the B.S. and PhD. degrees in condensed matter physics from the Department of Physics of Fudan University in June 2003 and June 2008, respectively.

From Dec. 2008 to Dec. 2010, he carried out post-doctoral work in Department of Physics of Cornell University. There, he developed the first and unique integrated oxide molecular-beam epitaxy and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy system to investigate the novel engineered quantum states of matter, which is the blind spot of traditional ARPES study.

He was an associate professor (2011.1~2016.12) and is now a full professor (2017.1~present) at State Key Laboratory of Functional Materials for Informatics of SIMIT, in charge of the development of the in-situ ARPES end-station at SSRF. As the principal investigator, he is responsible for the Major National project, the National Natural Science Foundation project, and the Pre-research project of CAS. So far, he has been authored or co-authored over 30 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, including top journals Nature materials, PRL and PRX. He has won the SNS2007 Post Award, SSRL 2007 Science Highlight, National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award 2011 and Chinese Academy of Sciences Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award 2013.
