Lixing YOU received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Nanjing University, China, in 1997, 2001 and 2003 respectively. From Apr. 2000 to Mar. 2001, he was a research student with the Research Institute of Electronics and Communication, Tohoku University, Japan. From Nov. 2003 to Oct. 2005, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. From Nov. 2005 to Jun. 2006, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Condensed Matter Physics and Devices Group, University of Twente, the Netherlands. From Sept. 2006 to Aug. 2007, he was a Guest Researcher with the Electromagnetics Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA. From Sept. 2015 to Feb. 2016, he was a Senior Visiting Scholar with University of California, Berkeley. Since Sept. 2007, he has been a research professor in Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China. He serves as the dean for the division of superconductivity since July, 2017. His current research is related to superconducting nanowire single photon detection and its applications. He has published ~80 papers on international peer-review journals. He is the editor board member of “Scientific Reports” and advisory board member of “Superconductor Science and Technology”. Besides, he is a member of WG14 in IEC-TC 90, the associate editor of IEEE CSC Superconductivity News Forum, and international board member for International workshop of superconducting sensors and detectors (IWSSD).
