Dear Colleagues,
The 4th Asian symposium of Magnetocardiography (MCG) will be held in August 23-25, 2012 in Shanghai. The symposium will be jointly organized by the State Key Laboratory of Functional Materials for Informatics, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIMIT, CAS), Tianjin Teda International Cardiovascular Hospital and Beijing Milestone Science & Technology Development Co. Ltd.
In one hand, MCG has demonstrated great potentiality as a power tool for clinical research and diagnosis, but on the other hand, it demands further extensive joint efforts to make it persuasive and competitive as compared to other established methodologies. The symposium will create a platform, offering great chances for MCG system developers, research scientists, medical doctors and others bio-magnetic practitioners, to share their latest results on equipment development, clinical results, to openly discuss the opportunities and threads, to form joint forces to overcome the technical and market penetrating challenges.
Besides Asian participants, we will try to invite some renowned MCG experts from non-Asian areas to increase the global awareness of our symposium. We will invite local medical doctors, equipment suppliers, equipment traders to participate the event, providing a chance for those who are interested in Chinese market. The symposium will be open to students working in the field, or interested to work in the field in the future, thus offering a chance for recruitment of young talents.
Besides technical discussions, we will organize a tour nearby Shanghai, giving you a chance for relaxation and to see the beautiful sceneries around.
The symposium is free of charge, but with limited number of participants. Non-steering committee members are requested to bear their own costs for flight and accommodation. Contact us immediately if you want to participate in this exciting event. Send us your pre-registration form before June 30 to secure your registration.
Please feel free to distribute this information among those who are interested. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon in Shanghai.
