Noverment 15th, 2011, the delegation from Netherlands headed by Mr. Bart Verbeek, chairman of the Innovation-oriented Research Platform (IOP) on Photonic Devices and Jaap van Etten, Counsellor for Science and Technology visited Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), CAS. Vice director YU Yuehui, researcher GAN Fuwan and GONG Qian attended the conference.

During the conference, prof. Bart Verbeek introduced the general situation and development of the Netherlands Photonic industry. He hoped to know the latest achievements of China’s Photonic field and the possibility for collaboration. Prof. YU Yuehui introduced the scientific research progress of SIMIT. Prof. GONG Qian and GAN Fuwan introduced the progress on active and un-active Photonic materials and components.

After the meeting, the delegation visited state key laboratory of functional materials for infomatics.
