The Finland China Strategic ICT Alliance Conference was held in Shanghai on 23 April. The conference is cosponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology of China and Ministry of Employment and Economy of Finland, organized by Shanghai Research Center for Wireless Communications and Finland ICT and Innovation Strategy Centre, and supported by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee and Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (Tekes). Mr. Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Employment and Economy of Finland, and Mr. Niu Xiaoming, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Science and Technology Committee. attended the conference.

The aim of the conference is to exchange the development of communication technology and industry between Finland and China, discuss the cooperation of China Finland ICT alliance, and enhance the R&D and industrial cooperation between both parties, so that China and Finland can work together on innovations and jointly establish a China Finland ICT strategic alliance.

Over 90 delegates from governments, corporations, universities and research institutes in China and Finland attended the conference.
