The ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 meeting was held in Switzerland on 3-8 November. Mr. Xing Tao and Mr. Shen Jie from CAS Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT) attended the meeting as Chinese delegates. SIMIT mainly participated in the discussion about limitation of sensor network reference frame model range as well as the consultation with SGSN team on the content of the SC6 sensor network proposal.
Mr. Xing Tao gave a report on the SGSN sensor network development and technology inWG9 meeting representing SGSN team. After expert discussions, the sensor network standardand technological content and suggestions in several areas proposed by Chinese delegation were agreed, while the limitation of reference model proposal was set to the network area, leaving sufficient space for new future proposals. WG9 confirmed Mr. Xing Tao as the allied editor of the sensor network reference model proposal.
Achieving the target and expected result, the meeting left greater development space forChina in the sensor network international standardisation area. The development of Chinasensor network represented by SIMIT has raised general attention in the world, showing that China has acquired important right of saying in the sensor network international standardisation field. However, the sensor network international standardisation is a long and hard work that requires our persistent and positive efforts.
