March 26^th to 28^th, 2015 Sino-Japan Smart City Forum was held in Jiading Campus of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), CAS. The forum is hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and organized by SIMIT and Shanghai Center for Internet of Things. The theme of the forum is in view of the current situation of the construction smart city development strategy, comparative analysis the wisdom of the city and promote the research route of China and Japan, smart city construction policy, technology, standards, safety and environmental protection and other series of problems and challenges, to explore the city green, low-carbon, sustainable development road of wisdom.

Forum Chair WANG Xi, gave a opening remark and speech on <Semiconductor Innovation Enables Internet of Things>. Director general of Center for Innovation and Development, CAS MU Rongping gave a speech on <Smart City in China-Policy and Practice>, president of NTT Data IWAMOTO Toshio gave a speech on <Possibility of Information Revolution through ICT facing SMARTer>. During this two days conference, experts and scholars from Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Shanghai Traffic Information Center, Hitachi China R & D company, computer network information center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences Guangzhou Energy Institute, Haier Group, Shanghai Industrial Technology Research Institute, Shanghai University of science and technology ,etc. Had gave 17 brilliant invited report around the three plates of wisdom city industry application, key technology of smart city and related technologies, with the theme as the energy, transportation, environmental protection, security, home, pension, medical care, software, chips and communication. Than the delegates also visited the Wuxi Center for Internet of Things

The wisdom of the city is a hot topic of current social development, economic development and the development of science and technology, related industries are also considered to be the focus of future development. This forum provides a platform for exchange ideas, display technology for the smart city to experts and scholars who are in such the field. Otherwise provides a new idea for the research and make an important significance to promote the construction of smart city in China through exchange experience with the smart city construction in Japan.
