The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation (HLHL) Advancement Prize of awarding ceremony was held in Diaoyutai State Hotel on 29th, Oct., 2008. The researcher Xi Wang from SIMIT has received the Science and Technology Awards. He is the only scientist who was awarded this prize after Ziliang Wu and Yuanshen Xu.

Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was jointly established by four patriotic Hong Kong financiers Ho Sin-Hang, Leung Kau-Kui, Ho Tim and Lee Quo-wei, which aims to reward excellent Chinese scholars in science and medical fields.
