Researcher

Wuxiong Zhang, Ph.D., researcher at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and executive deputy director of Shanghai Wireless Communication Research Center. The research fields mainly include 5G cellular wireless mobile communication standards, vehicle networking architecture, networking technologies, and research and application of key technologies for the IoT. He has published more than 60 academic papers, including 54 from the SCI / EI index, declared 34 domestic invention patents, 3 international patents, published 2 5G communication monographs, chaired or participated in National Natural Science Foundation projects, major national science and technology projects, Economic and Information Technology Commission more than 20 key projects, as well as winning 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.

Dr. Wuxiong Zhang received a bachelor's degree in information security from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2008, a PhD in information and communication systems from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013, and a short-term academic exchange at Heriot-Watt University in the UK in 2011.

In the research and development of key technologies of the IoT, Dr. Wuxiong Zhang proposed a set of connectivity theories for the Internet of Vehicles that integrated the characteristics of wireless channels and vehicle traffic. Based on this theory, he also proposed a series of routing and delay control algorithms and technologies. And the results were applied to the networked vehicle network control system. This technology has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission Natural Science Foundation, and the National Science and Technology Major Project. In addition, he received the Natural Science Award from the China Communications Society.

Since 2013, Dr. Zhang Wuxiong has participated in the research and development and design of the sensor network system for the national trunk line project of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, applying the latest achievements of the Internet of Things to national key projects. In 2019, he took the lead in constructing the "Jiangxi Zhongke Smart Aquatic Industry Research Co., Ltd." with Jiangxi Water Conservancy Investment Group, aiming to combine information technology such as sensing, communication, blockchain, artificial intelligence and the water conservancy industry for innovation. It is expected to realize the industrialization of the previous technological achievements.

In addition, Dr. Wuxiong Zhang, who is technically capable, participated in the national major special project of "Next-generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Network", named "IMT-Advanced Key Technology Test Platform Development". He led the R & D team and actively carried out research and development of key technology trials, tests and evaluation methods for 4G / 5G international standards and communication system requirements. He is responsible for the planning and construction of the Fuzhou IoT Open Lab in China, and has built a certification system based on comprehensive testing of NB-IoT chips, modules, terminals, systems, and platforms. Finally, he also actively promotes the application standardization of the IoT industry.
