Joint Meeting of 5G Sino-Finland Cooperation Project led by National Natural Science Foundation of China and The Academy of Finland was Held Successfully

   On February 25-26, 2016, the joint meeting of 5G Sino-Finland Cooperation Project between National Natural Science Foundation of China and The Academy of Finland was held at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem And Information Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (“SIMIT”). This meeting was led by Shanghai Research Center for Wireless Communications (“WiCO”) and was presided over by Dr. Yang Yang, director of WiCO. Leaders of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Yuan Xiaobing, deputy director of SIMIT, addressed this conference.

   Present at this meeting were representatives of almost 20 domestic entities involved in the project including Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Communications, Southeast University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

   The two-day-long meeting consisted of plenary report, intensive discussion and sub-project discussion. Through reports and exchange of views, project participants became more clear about the research direction and progress of their respective projects.
