From May 23 to 24, the Sino-German Workshop on Quantum Information Technology was successfully held at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The workshop was co-sponsored by SIMIT and the Julich Research Center in Germany. In addition to the scientific researchers and graduate students of the organizer, scholars and students from universities and research institutions such as Shanghai Jiaotong University, Institute of Physics, and Shanghai University attended the seminar.

At the meeting, professor YU Yuehui, deputy director of SIMIT, first gave a speech to congratulate the seminar and welcomed all participants. The co-chairmen of the conference, professor XIE Xiaoming, deputy Director of SIMIT, and professor Thomas Schaepers of Julich introduced the research status of quantum information technology in their respective units. 26 scholars made academic reports on topics such as topological quantum computing, quantum materials and devices, ultra-low power semiconductor devices, superconductivity and bioelectronics, shared the latest research progress, and interacted with the participants.

This workshop provided a good opportunity and platform for participants to enhance academic exchanges and mutual understanding, and explore future cooperation.
