"Jülich Day" held at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology

On the afternoon of May 25, the Jülich Research Center held the “Jülich Day” event at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The experts and scholars from SIMIT and other sibling institutions participated in the event. Professor XIE Xiaoming, deputy director of SIMIT, and professor Thomas Schaepers of Jülich co-chaired the event.

At the beginning of the event, deputy director XIE Xiaoming delivered a speech on behalf of SIMIT extended a warm welcome to the experts and scholars who came to the event. Later, prof. Detlev Grützmacher of Jülich introduced the successful cooperation with SIMIT. Prof. Claus Schneider, Prof. Andreas Wahner, and Prof. Rafal Dunin-Borkowski introduced the main work they achievements, cooperation and prospects. Prof. Lingyan Feng from Institute of Materials Genomic Engineering, Shanghai University shared her study life at Jülich Research Center. Dr. WANG Shunbing, China Agenda 21 Management Center, introduced his achievements during his visit to the Jülich Research Center and an overview of the projects planned by China Agenda 21 Management Center.

In the end, professor XIE Xiaoming vividly reviewed the 13-year cooperation between SIMIT and Jülich from sprout to growth and flowering with representative pictures from different periods. The mutual trust and friendship established during the cooperation process will lead to closer and deeper cooperation in the future and strive for more cooperation results.
