The “2015 JUELICH DAY” was successfully held in Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology on 24th October. This theme day activity was organized by German Forschungszentrum JUELICH Research Center (FZ-Juelich), and held by Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT). More than 70 alumnus from institutes of FZ-Juelich and many other research departments around the world took part in this theme day activity.

Prof. Xie Xiaoming, SIMIT deputy director hosted the opening ceremony. Prof. Zhu Zhiyuan, the president of CAS-Shanghai branch gave the opening address and generally introduced the favorable policy on the international cooperation supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Sebastian Schmidt, Vise-chairman of FZ-Juelich Research Center, reviewed the progress and achievement and proposed the prospect of FZ-Juelich.

During the JUELICH DAY activity, all the alumnus of FZ-Juelich got together. They shared the memories in FZ-Juelich and reached a preliminary agreement on future collaboration. At the end, Prof. Wang Xi, the academic of Chinese Academic of Sciences, SIMIT director, did the summary to this activity, and looked forward to more in-depth cooperation and communication between SIMIT and FZ-Juelich.
