Introduction
The CAS Center for Excellence in Superconducting Electronics (CENSE), running by the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), was founded by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) together with the support from the Strategic Priority Research Programs. The Center is co-sponsored by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Shanghai Institute of Ceramics (SICCAS) and ShanghaiTech University under the principle of “Multi-input”, “Unified Management & Sharing”, and “Mutual Support”. CENSE focuses on the applied fundamental research of superconducting electronics. Oriented to the national strategic needs for superconducting devices and circuits in the fields of information technology, life science, resources & environment, and national defense.the scope of CENSE is to build an interactive R&D environment for “material-device-application” and construct a multidiscipline platform for both scientific achievement and talent development. The goal of CENSE is to build a world-leading research center for superconducting electronics and to develop Chinese own superconducting devices and circuits with intellectual properties. |
